Climb & Build by team of 20 volunteers from McGraw Hill
2nd & 3rd July 2008: A team of 20 volunteers from McGraw Hill (from Kuala Lumpur & Singapore) came to Sabah to scale Mt Kinabalu, and then spent 2 full days at our Habitat build site at Kampong Kiansom Lama. Habitat KK first launched its 'Climb & Build' program in 2006. The program is into its 3rd year now. We invite & encourage volunteers who visit Sabah to spend a few days at our buildsite. What a charged up and energetic team of proactive volunteers, they are !! The members are very well co-ordinated and cohesive, with tremendous team spirit. We thank team leader Ms Shirley Lim who demonstrated great leadership by proactively spurring the team on with words and actions of encouragement! Thanks so much for coming and spending time to interact with us in our building programs! We look forward to see you again soon! Pictures show Vice President Francis Chong presenting Certificates of Participation, PR Chairman Jeannette Tong welcoming participants with local native beads, and some action pix on the build site.
