Habitat KK builds its 6th home in Sabah

Volunteers have been at the worksite of home owner and partner Ms Sheila Justus building her a new home. Sheila applied for a home and the construction began a few months ago and is expected to be completed soon. Corporate participant and volunteers from Desa Cargill are regularly at the worksite almost every weekend. Visitors and tourists to Sabah have also joined other local volunteers bringing in what is termed 'love capital' to complete the house. Volunteers need not have prior experience or specific skills although these would be useful and an advantage. The home owner is also required to join in the build by contributing 'sweat equity' of at least 400 hours.
